Integrate Stager’s New Ticket Shop Widgets into WordPress
Stager has introduced a new way to embed ticket shops directly into your website: ticket shop widgets. Instead of using a subdomain hosted by Stager, the shop now runs on your own domain. This improves tracking, prevents cross-domain cookie issues, and creates a smoother experience for your visitors.
In collaboration with Stager, I implemented the first ticket shop widgets on the Rotown and WORM websites. To make this available to all venues, I created a WordPress plugin: the Jeero π» Stager plugin.
This plugin works on any WordPress website β even if youβre not using Jeero to import your Stager events. No Jeero subscription is required.
βTo integrate Stager’s ticket shop widgets into your WordPress website using the Jeero π» Stager plugin, you can purchase and download the plugin from the product page. The annual license is priced at β¬360/year and includes updates and support.
Why this matters
By embedding the ticket shop directly into your site, visitors can purchase tickets without being redirected, providing a seamless browsing and purchasing journey.β
Hosting the ticket shop on your domain simplifies tracking user behavior and conversions, eliminating cross-domain tracking complications.β
For more information on the benefits of these new ticket shop widgets, you can refer to Stager’s article on the improved version of their ticket shop.
The Jeero π» Stager plugin
The Jeero π» Stager plugin is designed to seamlessly integrate Stager’s ticket shop widgets into your WordPress website, enhancing the ticket purchasing experience for your visitors. Once configured, the plugin automatically redirects all ticket shop links to embedded widgets on your site, ensuring that customers remain within your domain throughout the entire ticket buying process.
Key Features:
- Automatic Link Redirection: The plugin identifies and replaces standard Stager ticket shop links across your website, directing users to the corresponding embedded ticket shop pages you’ve set up. This keeps the ticket purchasing experience consistent and within your site’s environment.β
- Easy Configuration: Through the WordPress admin panel under Settings β Stager, you can manage multiple ticket shops effortlessly. For each shop, simply input the Shop URL, Shop ID, and assign a dedicated page on your website to host the embedded ticket shop.β
- Flexible Display Options: Choose whether ticket shops open in a new window/tab or within the same window, allowing you to tailor the user experience to your preference.β
- Support for Multiple Shops: If you operate multiple ticket shops within Stager, the plugin supports adding each one individually, provided each has a unique page assigned for embedding.β
How It Works:
- Detect and Redirect Links: The plugin scans your website for links pointing to Stager ticket shops. When a visitor clicks on such a link, they are redirected to the designated page on your site where the ticket shop widget is embedded.β
- Embedded Shopping Experience: Visitors interact with the ticket shop directly on your website, providing a seamless and branded purchasing journey. They only leave your site temporarily during the payment process and are redirected back upon completion.
