Import Recreatex Activities into Events Schedule WP Plugin

Use Jeero to sync your Recreatex activities to Events Schedule WP Plugin in WordPress. You can start for free; you only need WordPress admin access, your API base URL, your public webshop URL, your ShopId, and your API password.

1. Install Events Schedule WP Plugin

In your WordPress admin, install and activate Events Schedule WP Plugin.

WordPress will add Events Schedule WP Plugin event management to your admin. That is where your imported Recreatex activities will appear after Jeero has synced them.

2. Install Jeero

Go to Plugins > Add New and search for Jeero.

Install and activate the plugin. Jeero adds its own admin section where you can connect a ticketing solution to one or more WordPress calendar plugins.

You do not need a paid Jeero plan to test the setup. The free plan is enough to confirm that Recreatex activities are arriving in WordPress.

3. Connect Recreatex

Open Jeero > Imports in the WordPress admin and create a new import.

Choose Recreatex as the ticketing solution and save the import once. Reopen the import, then open the Recreatex tab.

Jeero will ask for:

• Recreatex Web Shop Webservices URL: the customer-specific API base URL Jeero should use to read upcoming Recreatex activities.

Use the Web Shop Webservices URL supplied by Vintia, without /Json/Activities/FindActivities or another operation path.

• Recreatex public webshop URL: the public webshop URL Jeero should use to build registration links for imported activities.

Use the public Recreatex webshop base URL. Jeero adds the activity detail path and activity ID to this URL.

• Recreatex ShopId: the customer-specific ShopId Jeero should send with each API request.

Use the ShopId supplied by Vintia for this Recreatex webshop.

• Recreatex API password: the customer-specific API password Jeero should send with the ShopId.

Use the API password supplied by Vintia. This is not a WordPress or public webshop password.

• Language code: optionally choose the two-letter language code Jeero sends to the Recreatex API.

Leave this empty to use NL; otherwise use an ISO 639-1 language code such as EN.

If you do not have the Web Shop Webservices URL, public webshop URL, ShopId, and API password, ask your Vintia contact or Recreatex administrator for the customer-specific API details before you start.

Save the import. Jeero calls Activities/FindActivities and, when the details are valid, shows how many Recreatex activities it found.

4. Enable Events Schedule Wp Plugin Import

Open the Events Schedule WP Plugin tab in the Jeero import settings.

Enable the import and save your changes. Jeero will now send upcoming Recreatex activities to Events Schedule WP Plugin.

Start with the default import settings. After you have confirmed that activities are syncing, you can decide whether Jeero should update activity categories, images, and custom templates on first import only or on every import. Leave Status for new events on Draft if you want to review imported activities first. Choose Publish if the activities should appear on the public website after the first import.

5. Check Your First Activities

The first sync usually runs within a few minutes.

Go to Events Schedule WP Plugin events in the WordPress admin and check whether your upcoming Recreatex activities appear. Open one imported activity and confirm the basics:

• The title matches the Recreatex activity.
• The date and time are correct.
• The description and image are present when Recreatex provides them.
• The location and address are present when Recreatex provides them.
• The registration link sends visitors to the matching activity in the public Recreatex webshop.
• Prices appear when Recreatex exposes usable price data.
• Activity types and search terms are available for category mapping.
• Availability and sold-out status reflect the places data supplied by Recreatex.

If no activities appear yet, wait a few minutes and check that the Jeero import is active, the API URL does not include an operation path, and the ShopId and API password belong to the same Recreatex webshop.

6. Show Activities on Your Website

Events Schedule WP Plugin creates a page for activities automatically.

You can find the URL in Events > Settings. Add the schedule page to your navigation so visitors can browse upcoming activities and click through to Recreatex for tickets.

Optional Activity Improvements

Once the basic sync works, you can tune the import.

Good next improvements for this setup:

• Use custom templates or fields for age ranges, remaining places, registration dates, and the multi-day activity schedule.
• Map Recreatex activity types and search terms into WordPress categories when visitors need programme filters.

Recreatex can also provide extra fields for custom templates, such as Recreatex activity ID, recreatex activity code, Recreatex activity type ID, recreatex activity type code, and other platform-specific fields. Use them when your activity pages, filters, or templates need more than the basic title, date, image, location, and ticket link.
