Use Custom Templates and Fields

Jeero can import events with a simple default layout, but many venues eventually want the event page to match their website more closely. Custom templates and fields are the first place to look after the basic sync works.

Use this when you want to:

  • Change how imported event titles, descriptions, or ticket links are shown.
  • Put ticketing data into fields your theme already uses.
  • Add subtitles, practical info, venue details, prices, or other structured data to the event page.
  • Keep the default import simple while still giving your theme richer data.

Start After the First Sync

Do not start here before events are importing correctly.

First confirm that Jeero can connect to the ticketing platform, create events in WordPress, and send visitors to the right ticket page. Once that path works, custom templates and fields can improve the presentation.

How It Works

Jeero receives event data from the ticketing platform and passes common values into templates, such as:

  • Event title.
  • Description.
  • Start and end time.
  • Venue.
  • Categories.
  • Ticket URL.
  • Prices.
  • Ticket status.

Some ticketing platforms provide extra values. For example, Ticketsolve can provide tags, images, properties, production company names, and comments. Ticketmatic can provide subtitles, web remarks, practical information, genres, prices, availability, and location data.

The exact fields depend on the ticketing platform and the calendar plugin.

Good First Improvements

Start with one visible improvement:

  • Add a subtitle under the event title.
  • Show practical info in a consistent place.
  • Add venue city to a location field.
  • Show a clear ticket button.
  • Put price information in the event content.

Avoid changing every field at once. It is easier to verify the import when each improvement has a clear purpose.

When to Ask for Help

Send me your event page, ticketing link, and what you want the visitor to see. I can usually tell whether this needs a template change, a custom field, category mapping, or a platform-specific tweak.
