Import Veezi films into The Events Calendar

In this guide, you will connect your WordPress website to Veezi. Next, you will sync your films with the The Events Calendar plugin. When completed, you will have a website for your theater with an always up-to-date overview of your films, including featured images, full descriptions, showtimes and prices.

Prerequisites

  1. Make sure you have a working WordPress website.
  2. Generate a Veezi API access token in Veezi Back Office.

Step 1 – Install Jeero

  1. Go to Plugins → Add new in the WordPress admin.
  2. Look for ‘jeero’.

  3. Install and activate the Jeero plugin.

You now have a new Jeero menu-item in the WordPress admin.

Step 2 – Install The Events Calendar

  1. Go to PluginsAdd new in the WordPress admin.
  2. Look for ‘the events calendar’.
  3. Install and activate The Events Calendar plugin.

You now have a new Events menu-item in the WordPress admin:

Step 3 – Start the sync

  1. Go to Jeero in the WordPress admin.
  2. Click on ‘Start new sync’
  3. Select Veezi in the Ticketing solution field.
  4. Select The Events Calendar in the Calendar plugin field.
  5. Click on Save Changes.
  6. Enter you Veezi API access token:

  7. Click on Save Changes.

The sync is now active. Your films will be visible in The Events Calendar within 5 minutes:

Step 4 – Show your events on your website

The Events Calendar automatically adds a page to your website with an overview of all your films. The exact URL of this page can be found like this:

  1. Go to EventsSettings in the WordPress admin.
  2. Remain of the General tab and scroll down to the Events URL slug field.
  3. In the instruction below the field you can find the URL:
  4. Click on the link.

You now see a beautiful overview with films, including a datepicker, keyword search and different view options:

Step 5 – Choose the right plan

The free plan for Jeero lets you sync up to 10 upcoming films at any given time. Perfect for small organisations and testing purposes.
