Import PatronBase performances into WP Event Manager

This tutorial will show you how to connect your WordPress website to PatronBase. You will then import your performances into the WP Event Manager plugin. When finished, you will have a website that provides an always-updated overview of your performances, including full descriptions, featured images and prices.

Prerequisites

  1. Check that your WordPress website is up and running.
  2. Create an API Key using the PatronBase APIAPI Settings menu option in your PatronBase account. You can use the following settings:

  3. After clicking on Add User you see the screen with your API Key on it.

  4. Derive your PatronBase skin ID from the URL of your PatronBase website.

    If https://us.patronbase.com/_mytheatre/Productions is the URL of your PatronBase website, then ‘_mytheatre’ is your skin ID.

Step 1 – Install WP Event Manager

  1. Go to PluginsAdd new in the WordPress admin.
  2. Look for ‘wp event manager’.

  3. Install and activate WP Event Manager plugin.

You now have a new Even Manager menu-item in the WordPress admin.

Step 2 – Install Jeero

  1. Go to Plugins → Add new in the WordPress admin.
  2. Look for ‘jeero’.

  3. Install and activate the Jeero plugin.

Step 3 – Start the sync

  1. Go to Jeero in the WordPress admin.
  2. Select PatronBase in the Ticketing solution field:

  3. Click on Save Changes.

  4. Enter your PatronBase API Key and skin ID:

  5. Click on Save Changes.

  6. Click on the WP Event Manager tab.

  7. Tick the Enable WP Event Manager import checkbox:

  8. Click on Save Changes.

The sync is now active. Your performances will be visible in WP Event Manager within 5 minutes:

Step 4 – Show your events on your website

Create a page called “events” and inside place the [events] shortcode. This page will now list your events.
